A case might be made for all eight of the candidates given that this event has the best staying horses, however each has drawbacks as well.

TRUESHAN is a logical place to start. After all, he is the most highly regarded horse in the field and has won this race each of the previous two seasons. He did lose to Coltrane the previous time they played, but it was only by a neck. It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Alan King horse reverse the form with that rival at a track where he has a perfect record.

There is a case to be made for the untested Waterville, who excelled at the Curragh his previous outing, but this is a step up and he was very well-weighted in a handicap that day.

Both Eldar Eldarov and Quickthorn are worthy candidates, although the latter’s weakness was just revealed, and he performs better on faster terrain. The former has a longer travel to prove himself.

Overall, TRUESHAN has the advantage in the race because he is the most elegant horse and is running on his preferred track.

Sprint Stakes at 14:00

This six-furlong dash, which is much more competitive than the opening race on the card, will resemble a lottery. Being in the ideal position and having everything go according to plan—which isn’t usually the case in races of this kind—will be crucial.

In his attempt to retain his title, Creative Force is predicted to put up a good fight, but he hasn’t been seen in three months, but that wasn’t the case when he won.

With Ascot odds, ROHAAN stands out at 5/1. The horse owned by Adam Kirby won his most recent Group 3 race with a margin of victory, and his Ascot track record is encouraging. The four-year-old is undoubtedly one of the more likely winners with three course and distance victories out of three at the Group level.

Fillies & Mares Stakes at 14:40

Moving on to the females, there are many with good chances in this year’s Qipco British Champions Day. Eternal Pearl is a type that is rapidly developing, and after four straight victories, including one in Group 3 company at Newmarket three weeks ago, she poses a threat to everyone, even though she still has room to grow.

Although MIMIKYU is the one who really gets the eye, French raider Sweet Lady has won some respectable races in France and is a contender.

The filly owned by John and Thady Gosden has a stellar Ascot record, and she just won the Park Hill Stakes with a bit to spare against some very talented competitors. Although she is unknown, it shouldn’t be disregarded as her sister won this race in 2016. undoubtedly a major player.

Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at 15:20

Is the main focus of the race INSPIRAL? Probably. The three-year-old, who is a direct descendent of the greatest flat horse ever (Frankel), is versatile in terms of the terrain, and her most recent victory in France was really stunning.

Her stable has a strong track record in this race, and her performance while triumphing in Group 1 company here back in June solidifies her place at the head of the pack. She will have to defeat the lads, but this happens frequently. She is a polished performer and is expected to win.

Champion Stakes at 16:30

The headline event, and arguably the biggest race on the card. This race is unquestionably about one horse, if the preceding one wasn’t as well.

Baaeed shows up here in his sexiest configuration. His record currently reads 10 victories from 10 runs. The four-year-old, one of the greatest to do it recently, has defeated everything that has been put in front of him, and on his most recent racecourse appearance, he is heavily favoured to continue his perfect record.

There are a few intriguing choices for each-way bettors, including the powerful colt and proven winner BAY BRIDGE. Over this distance, he has prevailed in five of his seven races. His second-place showing at Ascot in June indicates that he may be in the mix for placing money when the race is over.
